Kikanshita Yuusha no Gojitsudan : Chapter 0

Prologue to the Epilogue

There was a roaring sound of something colliding with each other.

It can only be described as a human-like figure in armor and a shadow. For some reason, the color, shape, and size of that “something” is unclear, but it has a certain mass and an unusual presence, and it intersects violently over and over again.

“Gaaaa”

Apparently a young man, a human in armor, wields a shining sword with one hand.

“!!!!”

A silent voice, neither a shout nor a roar of “Something”, shakes through the space.

“Oh, ooh!!”

Immediately after the armored man’s loudest yell ever,

“!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

A tremendous, soundless cry shakes the space.

It was a place where there was nothing but pure white space, and that’s the only way to describe it.

Just a white void with no walls, ceiling or even the floor beneath your feet.

There was a man in a posture with his sword swung downward.

His body wobbled and he fell on his back as it was.

He is alive. You can tell by the rough rise and fall of his chest, but his body is smeared with blood and his left arm doesn’t retain its original form as if it had been crushed.

It can only be described as having wounds all over his body, and it’s hard to believe that he’s been fighting until now.

“…Damn…bastard! …never…again…will…do…this…thing!”

Gasping for breath, he muttered to himself.

“I guess it’s over~”

Suddenly, a woman’s voice sounds interrupted. But the man doesn’t respond to the voice and doesn’t even look in the direction of the voice.

“Hey~, don’t ignore me~!”

The owner of the voice pursed her lips in frustration.

There was a woman of such beauty that it would be too rude to describe her as beautiful.

A woman who could only be described as a goddess from mythology or lore, but the man only glanced at her, moving his eyes to stare at her.

”…this…state…over here…look at it…and then say that again…damn goddess!”

…Apparently, she really is a goddess.

“Oh~ It looks like you had a rough time~”

The goddess(Self-explanatory) holds out her hand to the man as she says in a leisurely, subtly irritating tone.

The man’s body is then showered with particles of light, and in the blink of an eye, his injuries heal and his breathing becomes calmer, and even his crushed arm returns to its original state as well as the armor he wears.

After a brief moment, the man slowly raises his upper body.

“I guess that means it’s all over now, right?”

The man asks while glaring at the goddess(Self-explanatory).

“You don’t have to stare at me like that~. That’s right~ Now “Luenavilio” is really gone too. It won’t even resurrect for at least a few tens of thousands of years~. I think the distortion of the world will gradually return~”

“So, I guess I’m really going to get my life back, huh?”

“It’s okay~! I’m going to get you back to your world and time~! I wish you’d give me a little credit~, gusun.”

When the man glares at her as if to say, “If you’re lying, I’ll pay you back.” the goddess immediately responds. With an impish mimicry of crying….

The slightest bit of harshness disappears from the man’s gaze.

“As promised~ After performing the ‘repatriation ceremony’ at the place where you were summoned, I’ll adjust the rest of it myself, so don’t worry~”

The goddess continues in a leisurely tone.

“…Okay”

Then the man finally takes a deep breath.

After a while, the man stands up.

He has a face that is still young, about 20 years old. The man’s physique was trained and toned, and his height would be about 180 centimeters. The armor-covered figure was covered by the goddess’s light, and although the scars on his body and armor were gone, there were still traces of blood on his body.

The goddess looked at the figure with a compassionate expression and quietly and solemnly said.

“You were summoned one-sidedly from another world, and after passing a difficult ordeal, you have successfully defeated the Demon King and the Evil God ‘Luenavilio’ and restored order and peace to this world. In the name of one of the gods, ‘Valienis’, I give you thanks and blessings.”

The man raises an eyebrow, a little surprised.

“…Well, I’m just asking you to do this once and for all, and not let all the effort I’ve made go to waste. I have a lot to say, but that’s it for now.”

“We can’t interfere excessively with human affairs, but we’ll keep an eye on them as best as we can.”

The goddess complied and held out her hand in front of the man. Particles of light gathered and the space in front of him opened wide.

“Now, soon this divine realm will be closed. It would be good for you to return and show everyone that you are safe.”

The man dives into the open space as prompted.

(If you can talk like that, you should have done it from the start), he swears inwardly.

The place he passed through was a dimly lit, temple-like place.

There are several figures. Each seems to have held what seems to be a weapon and is looking his way.

When the man continues on, he may have recognized this place, and he releases his stance as the tension was released.

“Yuya-sama~!

A small girl jumps into the man’s chest.

“Are you hurt?! There’s so much blood here! Heal quickly!”

Seeing the man, the girl half panicked at the sight of Yuya.

“I’m fine. It’s all right.”

He responds by patting the girl’s head and smiling at her and looks around at the others in the room.

A tall, brown-skinned woman (a beautiful woman), a stern man with a massive, stocky build, a girl in white robes (a beautiful girl), and a tall man with a nervous-looking face.

All of them are staring at Yuya with expressions that can neither be taken as smiles nor crying.

“Is it over?”

“Yeah, it’s all over.”

Yuuya answers the large man’s short question.

“Do, does this mean the world is saved?”

Nodding at the robed girl’s mixed expectation and anxiety, he said

“Yes, if “Vallienis” words are to be believed, then yeah. The rest… is up to the princesses and kings.”

He responded with a light-hearted, mischievous tone.

“Come on! Now, let’s get out there and give everyone the answer they deserve!”

The brown woman urged, and the taller man nodded in agreement.

When Yuya and the others walked out of the temple, they found a large number of soldiers gathered around the temple.

Everyone has the color of fatigue on their faces, many are drenched in blood and many are injured.

There are young male soldiers who look like children, old soldiers who look like they have grandchildren, and women. There are soldiers who wear armor that looks like a regular soldier of some country, some who look like bandits or thieves, and some who are simply wearing simple clothes and carrying weapons.

There were probably more than ten thousand of them, at least as far as Yuuya could see. The total number of them would be in the tens of thousands.

The gazes of all the surrounding soldiers were focused on Yuuya. They all stared at him with a mixture of expectation and anxiety.

No one said a word. There was an odd silence there.

Yuuya was half overwhelmed by their gaze, he tried to say something, but the words wouldn’t come out.

Three years since he was summoned to this world, he’s been running at a frantic pace. Various events during that time have come and gone, and the words have never found their way into his voice because he is so overcome with emotion.

So Yuuya gave up trying to put them into words and just clenched his fists and thrust his right hand high into the air.

After a moment of silence, the cheers exploded.
